The Spring into Fashion SHO (for the PSO)
Time: 6:00 PM (Canada/Eastern) Location: Princess GardensOn Wednesday, May 16th The Spring Fashion SHO (for the PSO) is our only non-music related fundraiser for the orchestra. Tickets would make a wonderful Mother's Day gift! This year has clothing from a variety of presenters: Brittany N Bros., Tragically Hipp, Queen Street Boutique, and Adventure Outfitters. I went to have a fitting done at Adventure Outfitters yesterday, so if you want to see my knobbly knees in some adventuresome outfits, this is your best opportunity!
This is the perfect opportunity to take some friends out for a fun relaxing evening while supporting the PSO at the same time!
Taking place at Princess Gardens (100 Charlotte Street), doors open at 6pm with light jazz. The show proper begins at 7pm.
Treats are provided by Dreams and Beans.
There are door prizes - you don't even have to be "fashionable" to win one!
Cost for table seats: 30.00
Cost for row seats: 20.00
We will reserve tables for 4 and for up to 7. Table seating is limited, there are only 60 table seats so act fast.
Tickets can be purchased from the presenters (Brittany N Bros., Tragically Hipp, Queen Street Boutique, and Adventure Outfitters) all in Lakefield, as well as directly through the PSO (705-742-1992) - to be sure to leave a message and someone will promptly return your call. Tickets can also be purchased online at

(Posted by j-beda)Post a new event:
This is a place to post events! Just enter text as you would into the wiki. Try to use links to the pages associated with venues, etc. (so if you say "Local Music Scene" you should make that into a link, ["Local Music Scene"]). This makes it easier for people to find out more information on the organization, etc. You can easily delete the event after posting it (if you make a mistake, etc). Note that this page is not intended for businesses to notify people about sales events.
Tips: Include the event description, the location, start and end dates, start and end times, the cost (or note if free), and a link to further information/contact. Post a week (or more) in advance, if possible (but less than 3 months in advance). Events are assumed to be open to the public unless otherwise noted.
Images: To include a picture you must link to the picture externally (meaning it has to be hosted on some other website). Then just paste in the url of the image in brackets. So if the image is at http://site.com/pict.jpg you would put [http://site.com/pict.jpg]. Feel free to include a flyer/other photo. (Just be sure to type the information too!) Note: Although your images can be of any size, Please be courteous and respectful and do not post unnecessarily large images. Keep in mind that some people view the board on laptops with small screens and images larger than will fit on a screen defeat their purpose. If your images are larger than approx. 800x600, use one of the free resizing services (
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ or
http://www.resize2mail.com/) and/or use a link to the image instead of embedding the image.
You can quickly get to this page by going to Events (that way it's easier to remember).
